Ideally when your baby is showing signs of sitting independently and can look up to a camera without falling over.

You can book in for a cake smash up to 6 months in advance. I would recommend trying to book the session for 4 weeks BEFORE your child's birthday. This allows time for them to be edited, selected and you can then have them printed if you wish to use them for a birthday party etc.

Yes of course! This is the fun bit before the actual shoot. If you have an idea in mind then please share with me what you'd like for your little one's special photo. We will spend time talking about colour schemes, props/ themes that you have a preference for. As you will be booking in advance, this will allow time for me to create a wonderful backdrop for you. If you feel like you're not comfortable to be creative I can help you in deciding what would look best. I also have pre-designed back drops that you may want to choose.

Cakes are not included in the session cost, however I have teamed up with the amazing 'Anna's Cakery' who can provide a yummy butter cream cake in a colour of your choice for an additional fee.

Yes of course! You are more than welcome to bring your own cake if you are wanting something more elaborate for the photoshoot or if you are wanting to make your own for a special touch! I would recommend checking out Anna's social media to see her show stopping cakes and get in contact with her directly! This could also help you decide on a theme if you spot a cake that you like.

Please bring any milk/snacks/ drinks that your little one would need. We want them to be happy and comfortable in order to get those smiles!
If you have booked a cake smash & splash then you may prefer to bring your own towel too.

We will discuss before the session the colour scheme you may want if you plan to print the pictures to go up in your home. Ideally I would recommend an outfit that you really love that is plain with no labels/pictures on for a more timeless look.
If you have booked a cake-smash then I would recommend a smart outfit for the portrait session that ties in with the theme and then a simple vest could work well with the cake smash (tutus or braces and bow ties in the colour of the theme also look cute!).

During a session l can shoot anywhere up to 300 images, but after this I will cull through all of the photos to provide you with around 20 edited images for you to pick from,
Depending on what you have selected, you may be able to choose 5, 10 or 15 images to digitally download.

Images will be viewed online through a link sent directly to you. Once images have been selected you can download them digitally onto your device.

Mini sessions- up to 30 minutes
Sitter sessions usually last 30 minutes.
Cake smash sessions will last up to 1 hour (first 30 minutes for portraits and the second half for the cake smash).
Cake smash & splash will be 1.5 hours.

You are welcome to take any behind the scene pictures of me photographing your child. But I would ask that no close up pictures are taken as you are paying for my work and mobile pictures are not a true reflection of this.

Yes. I look through the pictures taken from the session and select the best ones for you to pick from that show your little one's personality. Before I upload them to the gallery I will use my own creative discretion to remove any blemishes (dribble/sick/scratches etc), enhance the details and and put my own touch on the final images for you to view.

Please allow for up to a week for images to be ready for viewing in the online gallery. I will work as quickly as I can to put them up as soon as possible. Once you have selected your images, I will send you a new link to download your pictures immediately.

I would love to share some images from the final gallery on my social media or use them as a promotional tool on my website. I know as a parent, I loved seeing my little girl feature on a baby sensory group's page after we had attended that day.
If you do not wish for your images to be used online then please let me know before the session.
